THE BRIEF
FOR THE AUTUMN OF 2025, VAMPIRE VAPE PLANNED ON A RELEASE OF A TOBACCO COLLECTION. FOUR NEW FLAVOURS WERE PROPOSED, GIVING SWEETER TONES ON MUSKIER FLAVOURS. TYPICAL TOBACCO SMOKERS SEEM TO BE MORE OLD FASHIONED & OF AN OLDER AGE RANGE, SO RELEASING THESE FLAVOURS WAS ALWAYS GOING TO BE A STRUGGLE, ESPECIALLY TRYING TO ATTRACT A YOUNGER, MODERN DEMOGRAPHIC. THERE ARE LOTS OF ROUTES THAT CAN BE TAKEN TO CREATE AN INTRUIGING CAMPAIGN, SO CHOOSING THE CORRECT MESSAGING TO APPEAL TO NEW & EXISTING CUSTOMERS WAS PIVOTAL.

THINKING ABOUT THE ORIGINATION OF TOBACCO & WHERE IT FIRST STARTED WAS KEY. ALSO THINKING ABOUT THE PRESTIGE OF THE FLAVOURS, WHAT THEY ARE COMMONLY USED IN, & THE DEMOGRAPHIC OF THE USER WOULD GIVE INSIGHTS INTO CREATING A PROJECT THAT LINKS SOLELY TO THE FLAVOUR STYLE.

i chose the strapline highlighted due to the story that can be told behind the concept & wording. linking it back to western times & cowboys gives the added meaning towards chewing tobacco, which could appeal to the older audience who grew up with these types of films. this links to pop culture & gives a sense of nostalgia. furthermore, the younger audience can link to their modern day pop culture, with the resurgence into mainstream media across the world of country & western music.

TOBACCO COLLECTION LOGO TO SET TONE OFF FOR POSTER, STATING WHAT THE PRODUCT ITSELF IS. LETS THE CUSTOMER KNOW WHAT THEY'RE BUYING BEFORE SEEING THE DESIGN.
PRODUCT BEING AT THE CENTRE OF ATTENTION GIVES A CLEAR IDEA TO THE CUSTOMER WHAT IS BEING RELEASED. BOTTLES ALSO GIVE CLEAR BRANDING FOR VAMPIRE VAPE.

BASICS RELATING TO WHERE THESE FLAVOURS STARTED & THE RAW EXTRACTION PROCESS OF TOBACCO. GIVING A LINK BACK TO HISTORY & IT'S ROOTS
PRODUCT EMBEDDED IN TOBACCO LEAVES, LINKING AGAIN TO RAW PRODUCT & WHERE THE FLAVOURS ORIGINATE FROM.
STRAPLINE ADDS INTRIGUE, MAKING THE CUSTOMER WONDER WHY THESE FLAVOURS ARE SOUGHT AFTER, POTENTIALLY LEADING TO A SALE.

IDEA OF A COWBOY / WESTERN THEMED CONCEPT APPEALS TO BOTH AUDIENCES WE ARE TRYING TO ATTRACT.
SINGULAR PRODUCT IS SHOWN CLEARER, WHILST BRANDING STANDS OUT IN MONOCHROME DESIGN. ADDS FURTHER INTRIGUE AS THE FULL BOTTLES AREN'T SHOWN.
THE TEXT GIVES AN EFFECT OF A BURNING FLAME, TO LINK TO THE DESIGN OF THE POSTER & THE POLAROID PICTURE BURNING.

MONOCHROME BACKGROUND GIVES OLDER FEEL, AS IF IT WAS SET IN THE WESTERN TIMES. THE SUBDUED BACKGROUND ALSO ALLOWS THE COLOURFUL ELEMENTS TO STAND OUT.
POLAROID PICTURES ARE BACK IN FASHION IN THE MODERN AGE, SO GIVING THIS LINK WILL ATTRACT A MODERN AUDIENCE.
