REBRAND
THE BRIEF
MTWOSIX MEDIA IS A FREELANCE DESIGN BUSINESS THAT I SET UP FOR MYSELF. I ALWAYS ENJOYED DOING FREELANCE WORK, WHILST IN COLLEGE, UNIVERSITY & EVEN NOW. BUT AS MUCH AS I LIKED DOING IT, I FELT I NEVER HAD AN IDENTITY AS A PROFESSIONAL & SOPHISTICATED LOOKING BUSINESS. I WANTED TO FEEL PRESTIGIOUS & APPEALING TO CLIENTS, AS THEY ARE SO HARD TO COME BY IN THIS MODERN AGE. BEING ABLE TO SET UP A Brand IDENTITY WOULD SET ME UP FOR THE FUTURE, IF I EVER DECIDED TO DO IT ON MY OWN. AT THIS STAGE OF MY CAREER, IT WAS ALSO GOOD DEVELOPMENT TO CREATE MY OWN BRANDING, THINK OF GUIDELINES, & RUN MY OWN SOCIAL MEDIA PAGES TO ATTRACT WORK.
I WANTED THE BRAND TO LOOK SOPHISTICATED & CLEAN RATHER THAN TOO OVER THE TOP. I ALSO WANTED IT TO LINK TO HOME, & GIVE A NOD BACK TO WHERE I'VE GROWN UP & LIVED ALL MY LIFE, THE PLACE THAT I HAVE DEVELOPED & BECOME THE PERSON I AM TODAY. I ALSO WANTED TO LINK THE COLOUR SCHEME TO MY FAVOURITE FOOTBALL TEAM, WHICH HAS ALSO BEEN A MASSIVE PART OF MY LIFE. I WANTED IT ALL TO COME FLOODING BAck & GIVE CLIENTS A TASTE OF WHO I AM, TO LOOK & FEEL GENUINE & STILL HUMBLE.

LOGO CONCEPTS
THICKER FONTS USED ON KEY MESSAGES OF THE LOGO, ON THE M (MANCHESTER BASED) & MEDIA (TYPE OF SERVICE).

26 IN ROMAN NUMERALS GIVES A NICE TOUCH & LINKS BACK TO THE NAME. HOWEVER, MIGHT TAKE AWAY FROM THE LOGO ITSELF OR EVEN GET LOST IN TRANSLATION.

GRADIENT LOOKS GOOD & ADDS A PREMIUM TOUCH, BUT COULD BE AN ISSUE WHEN PRINTING ON MERCHANDISE ETC. IF WE COME TO THAT POSITION IN THE FUTURE. ALSO LACKS CONTRAST.
