THE BRIEF

Shooting fast-paced action is challenging, and with a sport like football being played at such high intensity, it takes plenty of trial and error to capture the perfect shot. This process develops persistence, composure under pressure, and problem-solving skills, requiring quick decisions to achieve the desired result.
 

Having the opportunity to photograph at a prestigious club such as Manchester City was a real honour. I aimed to capture the raw speed and physicality of the players, alongside the emotion and passion of the growing fanbase supporting them. In doing so, I also wanted to highlight the similarities in movement, body language, and expressions between each player. This raises an interesting question: if so many elite athletes perform in remarkably similar ways, what truly separates the very best from the rest? The answer lies in the fine margins that define success at the highest level.
