VAMPIRE VAPE
Re-Branding
THE BRIEF
Vampire Vape was established in 2012, with a vision to become a key player in the e-liquid industry. Now, in 2025, that vision has become a reality. With market-leading products such as Heisenberg & Pinkman, the brand took the market by storm.
However, that was a long time ago. The industry has moved on & evolved. Competitors from overseas are taking over with different devices, flavours & products that engage consumers in new ways. With this modernisation comes different brands, different messaging & different methods of communication. This is where Vampire Vape hasn't evolved. A logo created around 10 years ago, featuring a cartoon as its key icon, no longer reflects current design trends & certainly doesn't align with new regulations.
To evolve, we needed to develop a design that could be introduced in phases, demonstrating a process of evolution without changing too much too soon & alienating the brand's loyal customer base.
THE EXISTING BRAND

Make 'Vape' the same size as 'Vampire' to keep the logo in proportion. Eventually, the aim is to phase out 'Vape', allowing the brand to move more freely into other markets.
Despite Vlad being seen as the icon / mascot of the brand, regulations won't allow him to remain part of the brand (whether in the UK or internationally). Therefore, he needs to be removed from the logo.
Purple clouds background is key to the brand, used across all collateral, packaging, POS & other marketing materials.
Modernise the font to make it less Gothic & more appealing to a modern-day audience.
COLOUR SCHEME
INITIAL CONCEPTS

Thinner V shape gives the 'VV' idea, linking to the 'Vampire Vape' abbreviation. The white triangular background also gives a nod to the collar of Vlad's shirt.
Blood droplet links back to the brand name, 'Vampire', referencing the idea of being bloodthirsty. It can also be interpreted as an e-liquid droplet, creating a link to the brand's industry.

Brand name could be harder to read due to being rotated 90 degrees.
Half shape of the 'V' links to the half moon, resonating with Halloween & Gothic themes.

Shape of the logo resonates with a fang, linking to a key feature of vampires. The inner white triangle gives the impression of a tooth, while the red links back to the bloodthirsty theme.
Blood droplet links back to the brand name of 'Vampire', referencing the bloodthirsty theme. It can also be seen as an e-liquid droplet, linking back to the brand's industry.

Two thin V shapes link to the 'VV' abbreviation, but could easily be read as a 'W', which could cause confusion for the consumer.
Chunkier font gives a more Gothic feel, but in a modern way.
